Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is the effect of applying the method PQ4R on motivation to learn Islam class X IA 4 SMA N 2 Pekanbaru. In this study the formulation of the problem is “Is there any effect of the application of the method PQ4R class X student motivation IA 4 on the subjects of Islam in Public High Schools 2 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2013/ 2014 on the subject of finer and despicable character? This study is experimental. The population in this study are students of class X IA SMA N 2 Pekanbaru. Samples in this study is calss X IA 3 as the control calss and calss X IA 4 as class experiment. Based on the result of data analysis can be seen that tcount( 5,25) is greater than t table( 1%= 2,68; 5%= 2,01). Thus H0 is rejected and Ha accepted. From the data analysis it can be concluded that the application of the method PQ4R effect on students’ motivation IA class X 4 on the subjects of Islamic education in SMA N 2 Pekanbaru on the subject finer and despicable character
