Abstract

ABSTRACT Sriwahyuni Lubis, (2021): Implementation of the 2013 Curriculum in Teaching for Reading Comprehension to Students in Class VIII MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru The purpose of this study was to determine how the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in teaching reading comprehension to class VIII students of MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. This research used qualitative research and was carried out from December 2020 to January 2021 in class VIII MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. The data collected came from two samples who were English teachers in class VIII MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru. Data was collected through interviews and documentation. The results showed that the English teacher in class VIII MTs Pekanbaru had implemented the stages of reading such as questions, experiments, associations, and communicate well. However, the observation stage has not been implemented by the English teacher. Therefore, the researcher concludes that the implementation of the 2013 curriculum in teaching reading comprehension in class VIII of MTs Darul Hikmah Pekanbaru has been implemented well but further improvements still need to be made so that the learning process can be even better.
