Abstract

ALVIANDRE PRABOWO (2021) : AN ANALYSIS ON STUDENTS’ ERRORS IN USING PASSIVE VOICE AT ISLAMIC SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL HASANAH PEKANBARU Based on writer‟s preliminary study at Islamic Senior High School Hasanah Pekanbaru, especially at the tenth grade students, they still had problems in recognizing and producing the passive sentences. Therefore, To describe about the kind of errors that is faced by the tenth grade students at Islamic Senior High School Hasanah Pekanbaru. And also to find out the most dominant errors faced by the student of Islamic Senior High School Hasanah Pekanbaru.This research was Descriptive research and collecting the data was using Passive Voice test. For data analyzing the researcher found the number of students at the eleventh grade students of Islamic Senior High School Hasanah Pekanbaru is 23 students. Therefore, researcher took all the population as the sample of the research. The result showed that there were four types of error that are errors in determining subject in passive voice, leaving out the auxiliary verb (to be) before past participle, errors in choosing the correct auxiliary verb (to be) and errors in using past participle form. two types of error that become the less error that happen on the students in Islamic Senior High School Hasanah Pekanbaru, they are error in determining the subject and error in using verb past participle form.
