Abstract

The research objectives were to study the resation between morphometrics (the body lenght, the height of the body, chest girts, and the circles of the mammae) and the daily milk production of the animal (Fries Holland, FH) in UPTD Desa Kuapan, Tambang Sub-district, Kampar District, Riau. The study have been conducted during one month, i.e. February 2013, in UPTD Ruminansia Besar, Desa Kuapan. Survey method and direct observation have been applied for the study for all animals in lactation period. The total number of the animas were 26 dairy cows. All data, then, analyzed by liner correlation for calculated the means, variation, and variation coefficient. The observed parameters were, body lengths, the toll of the shoulders, chest and mamae circleing, and the daily milk production of the animals for all individu of the dairy cows. The relation between the length of the bodies and milk productions for the second, third and forth lactation were -0.31-0.71; the relation between chest circles and milk production for the second, third, and forth lactation were -0.07-0.78; and the relation between height of the shoulder for the second, third and forth period of lactation were -0.27-0.99; and the relation between the mammae circlings on the milk production for the second, third, and forth period of lactation were -0.47-0.97.
