Abstract

This research was done to explain the contribution of students’ obedience and English classroom management toward their learning achievement at the second year students of junior high school 1 Kampar. There were three variables in this research, they were students obedience (independent variable), English classroom management (intervening variable), and students’ learning achievement (dependent variable). The research was conducted In March 2014. The purpose of this research was to know whether there was or there was no contribution of students’ obedience and English classroom management toward their learning achievement at the second year students of junior high school 1 Kampar. This research was a correlational research. The questionnaire and documentation were administered and distributed to the 59 students to be the respondents. The collected data were analyzed using Pearson “r” Product Moment Correlation using SPSS 16.0 program in order to find out whether there was or there was not any significant contribution of students’ obedience and English classroom management and their learning achievement at the second year students of junior high school 1 Kampar. The result showed that The value of correlation coefficient 0.621 is higher than 0.250 at 5% level of significance and 0.325 at 1% level of significance where df is 57. It means that the null Hypothesis (Ho) was rejected and the alternative Hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. It is concluded that there was a significant contribution of students’ obedience and English classroom management and their learning achievement at the second year students of junior high school 1 Kampar.
