Abstract

Based on the preliminary research, it was found that the eleventh grade students of State Vocational High School 6 Pekanbaru have a medium level of learning creativity in English learning. It can be seen that some of the students were not creative to share their ideas in English learning and difficult in finding a new idea in English learning. The aim of the research was to find out how is the students’ learning creativity in English learning. The design of this research is a descriptive research design. The population of the research was the eleventh grade of state vocational high school 6 Pekanbaru from 4 classes, RPL (Software Engineering) and DG (Graphic Design) are 142 students and the sample is 20% from each class. The sample was selected by using simple random sampling technique. To get the data, the researcher gave questionnaire and then analyzed the data by using descriptive statistic calculated by SPSS 20.0 program. After analyzing the data, the result of students’ learning creativity in English learning was 68.21 in the mediocre level. It can be seen from 28 students majority (82.14%) students of the eleventh grade at state vocational high school 6 Pekanbaru was in mediocre level of Learning Creativity in English learning. Meanwhile, some of them (17.86%) was in the high level of Learning Creativity in English Learning. Key words : Learning creativity and English learning
