Abstract
Based on the researcher’s preliminary research, it was found some of the tenth grade of Senior High School 3 Tualang have been taught about present perfect tense but still make errors in making present perfect tense. The researcher formulated the problems into: What types of errors are made by the students in making present perfect tense? Therefore, the objectives of this research were to find out the types of errors are made by students in making present perfect tense. This study was a descriptive research. The subject of this research was students’ errors in making present perfect tense. The researcher used simple random sampling technique to take the sample, there were 30 students as sample from 152 students. To collect the data, the researcher used documentation. Documentation was done to find out what kind of mistakes made by students in making present perfect tense. Based on analysis, the researcher found that the most frequent errors in the making present perfect tense were addition. The total amounts of errors made by students were 220 errors. Where 52 errors in omission, 75 errors in addition, 47 errors in misformation, 46 errors in misordering. The percentage of students’ error in omission was24%, in addition was 34%, in misformation was 21% and in misordering 21%. Keywords: Analysis, Error, Present Perfect Tense.
