Abstract
Crosses of ducks with mucovy duck are done to improve the productivity and quality of the meat produced. Availability the day old duck (DOD) crosses of ducks with mucovy duck in large enough quantities is still limited, it depends on the success of the hatching process. The purpose of this cross is to compare the success rate of hatching eggs crosses of ducks with mucovy duck with duck eggs. Materials of this research were 90 eggs crosses of ducks with entok and 90 duck eggs. Hatching was done within 3 repeats, ie 1st, 2nd and 3rd weeks. The variables measured were egg weight, egg fertility, percentage of hatchiy eggs and hatching weight. The data of this study were analyzed descriptively by calculating the mean and standard deviation. The difference in mean value of each variable is known by t test. The results of this study indicated that egg weight, percentage of fertile egg and hatching weight crosses of ducks with mucovy duck better performance than duck eggs, except for the percentage of hatching eggs, the result was not significance (P>0,05). Key words : hatching, crossbreeding, duck, muscovy.
