Abstract
Group counseling services is one way of providing assistance to students through group activities. In group counseling is a means to supporting optimal development of each students who expected to benefit from the educational experience for himself. This research aims to knowing about management of group counseling services at State Senior High School 12 Pekanbaru and the factors that affecting the management of these groups counseling services This research subject are all teachers of guidance counseling located at State Senior High School 12 Pekanbaru totaling four people. While the object of this research is management of group counseling services at State Senior High School 12 Pekanbaru. To collect data toward management of group counseling services writer using observation, interviews and documentation. The data have been collected in qualitative descriptive analysis with percentages. From the research results conducted by the author at State Senior High School 12 Pekanbaru can be concluded that management of group counseling services at State Senior High School 12 Pekanbaru categorized "good enough" it can be seen from results of the calculation of percentage of observations , namely 58.3% lies on 41 - 60%. There are some factors which affecting management of group counseling services at State Senior High School 12 Pekanbaru. Namely: 1. Internal factors are: a. Individual ability or background, b. Mental health or emotional stability. 2. External factors, namely: a. Facilities or fixtures, b. Reference books, literature, reperensi, c. Execution time of group counseling services, d. Cost of in group counseling services.
