Abstract
This research is motivated by the conflict between PT Sari Lembah Subur and people in Desa Genduang Kecamatan Pangkalan Lesung Kabupaten Pelalawan. The conflict is about the land issue. Based on the observation, PT Sari Lembah Subur is approaching intensively people there. As a result, this research aims to know The Public Relations Strategy in Handling the Land Conflict in PT Sari Lembah Subur Desa Genduang Kecamatan Pangkalan Lesung Kabupaten Pelalawan. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. The sources of data are from primary and secondary data. Data is collected from observation, interview and documentation. The data analysis technique uses data classification, data reduction, data description and drawing a conclusion. This thesis finds that The Public Relations Strategy in Handling the Land Conflict in PT Sari Lembah Subur Desa Genduang Kecamatan Pangkalan Lesung Kabupaten Pelalawan is done through internal and external cooperation. The internal publics are staffs in PT Sari Lembah Subur while external publics are people in Desa Genduang Kecamatan Pangkalan Lesung Kabupaten Pelalawan. Guidance is done in a meeting room for internal publics while for people are suited with the common agreement. Communicators for guidance are selected based on the criteria of skill, communication ability and position in the company. Message delivered is informative and persuasive. Message is delivered through direct media by conducting meeting both to the internal and external publics and indirect media used are telephone. The response after the guidance is good enough.
