Abstract

This research was instigated by the lack of students’ thrift implementation, but the students’ comprehension on saving material was good. This research aimed at knowing the influence of saving material comprehension toward students’ thrift. This research was conducted at State Senior High School 2 Kampar. This research was ex post facto. The subject of this research was all X grade students, and the object was the influence of saving material comprehension toward students’ thrift. 72 students were the samples of this research. Documentation and questionnaire were the techniques of collecting the data. Simple Linear Regression was used to analyze the data, and it was assisted by using SPSS 16.0 for windows. Based on the data analysis, robseved0.547 was higher than and rtable0.232 at 5% and 0.302 at 1% significant levels (0.232<0.547>0.325). In other words, there was a significant influence of the influence of saving material comprehension toward students’ thrift at State Senior High School 2 Kampar. The percentage of the influence of saving material comprehension toward students' thrift was 29.9% and the rest 70.1% was influenced by other variables that were not mentioned in this research.
