Abstract
This research is based by the low students’ motivation in studying English language. The writer used are, most students are not interested in studying English language, and this could be seen that the students do not give any respond to the teacher’s explanation, also, the students do not pay good attention toward teacher’s explanation, and most students do not do their assignments. The formulation of this research is how the use of lightening the learning climate strategy in improving English language learning motivation at the Fifth Yeara students of state elementary school 002 Batubelah district of Kampar the regency of Kampar. The writer has arranged some steps for the fluency of this research, they are, 1) preparation, 2) the implementation of action, 3) observation, 4) reflection. The successful of lightening learning strategy is known from the improving of students’ motivation in studying English Language before action, in the first cycle and the second cycle. An average percentage of students’ motivation before action is around 49,4%, their motivation improves after corrective action in the first cycle it is around 66,3% and is categorized enough and this number is in their interval of 49- 71%. In the second cycle, their motivation is categorized good with the number of percentage is 82,1% as the range of this number is 72-91% or their achievement has reached achievement indicator specified it is 75%. Therefore, the writer concludes that the use of lightening the learning climate strategy improves English language learning motivation at the Fifth Yeara students of state elementary school 002 Batubelah district of Kampar the regency of Kampar
