Abstract

The study aims to determine the effectiveness of learning with sentence journal strategy in improving social studies learning outcomes at the elementary level. Conducted using the classroom action research (CAR) method with 2 cycles and 4 times face to face. The results showed there was an increase in learning outcomes gradually from the results of the first and second tests. In the learning process carried out by the teacher, action optimization followed 97.2% of the strategy in the 4th face-to-face meeting, followed by an increase in student learning activities by 87.7%. The final test results after learning is carried out is 83.3% achieving completeness according to the school's standard of 75. The research findings confirm that the journal sentence strategy can be used as one of the strategies that can improve the social studies learning outcomes of elementary school students.
