Abstract

Riau Jaya Paving Small and Medium Enterprise is engaged in printing which has been operating since 2000. Research on Riau Jaya Paving Small and Medium Enterprises is focused on the type of K-175 quality brick (conblock) paving block, because the average demand for this model of paving block every month is more than other paving block models. This company made changes to the production process, one of which was using the concept of lean manufacturing to minimize waste. The purpose of the study was to reduce the percentage of waste analyzed using Value Stream Mapping and provide proposed improvements in the form of checksheets and Production Oprasioal Standards. Data obtained based on direct observations in the field. Data processing is carried out using the Value Stream Mapping method, Waste Relationship Matrix and Relationship Diagram tools. From the results of research that has been carried out, the value of value added, non value added, necessary non value added and the total lead time of the production process can be seen in the Current Value State Mapping, the value of process cycle efficiency is 67.08%. Future Value Stream Mapping is the result of proposed improvements, the value of Process Cycle Efficiency is 75.05%. Keywords: lean manufacturing, relationship diagram, VSM, WRM.
