Abstract

ABSTRACT Fivi Arnianti Ramadhan (2022): The Students’ Perceptions of Online Learning during the Covid-19 Pandemic at English Education Department This study diverges from online education programs the government put in place during the Covid-19 pandemic. During the Covid-19 pandemic, students of English Education Department at UIN SUSKA RIAU used the online learning system, because they could not come to campus to study and had to stay at home to participate in online learning. This study aims to find out what are students perception of online learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. The research method is a quantitative descriptive method where data is analyzed using SPSS version 26 and Microsoft Excel. This research was conducted from 19 until 20 December 2022. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire to determine student perceptions of online learning. Questionnaires were distributed to 105 students in the third semester of the 2022/2023 academic year as a sample. Determination of this sample is done by simple random sampling of 5 classes. The findings show that the students’ perceptions of online learning during the covid-19 pandemic at English Education Department is positive.
