Abstract
This thesis titled: The concept of happiness according to Imam Al-Ghazali "Happiness according to Imam Al Ghazali was based on human reality that was fully by happiness and so on. So the problem of happiness is fundamental requirement to be achieved each people, that happiness is a vital requirement for everyone, thought of Al-Ghazali encourages psychological theories about the relationship of soul and physical behavior, also includes a concept, that human behavior it is determined by the state of their soul, good relations with the horizontal nature / environment and relationship with God. However, happiness can be achieved by two ways: The first wirid, zikir and praying with the guidance of Islam. Second. Ruh is trained / taught and made be happy. Thought of Al-Ghazali about happiness above contains psychological concept that is reminiscent of Sufi religion as the focus of foundation studies. This occurs because Al-Ghazali himself was Sufis, so that his approach to understanding happiness Al Ghazali is a part of human psychology, namely for peace of mind, while Al-Ghazali said happiness was more transcendental, namely the pursuit of hereafter happiness. It is therefore natural that Al-Ghazali thought more directed at the realization, the perfection of the soul with regard to the achievement of the goal of happiness hereafter. The virtues of the soul and the virtues of outward. To go in this direction necessary process of self-purification from refinement and reprehensible nature filled with a variety of good character
