Abstract
The teacher is one of the factors that influence student learning outcomes more. Because teachers are required to have skills in facilitating the child in the learning process, being able to be a mediator and learning resources protege, capable of selecting and using media or learning tools, able to select and use appropriate methods to the characteristics of the child and the materials provided. And based on the author's early observations on Fourth Grade Elementary School 015 Sumber Makmur, that the teacher has made efforts to improve the learning outcomes of Islamic education in the fourth grade students Aqeedah material quite well, but from the work done, the results of student learning has yet to reach the school set KKM 70. The symptoms encountered are: Most students do not pay attention to the material being taught by the teacher so that when there is a question / questions and answers by the teacher, the students can not answer, and the methods used are not attractive to children. Thus, to improve student learning outcomes, the teachers should increase interest in children's learning, one of which is to implement a strategy of Card Sort (card sorting). By the background described above and the symptoms are there then the authors propose the following research question: Is the strategy Card Sort can improve learning outcomes Islamic Education Elementary School fourth grade students 015 Sumber Makmur Tapung District Kampar regency. This study aimed to determine whether the strategy of Card Sort can improve learning outcomes subject matter of Islamic religious education class IV Elementary School 015 Sumber Makmur Tapung District Kampar regency. Data collection techniques in this study was the observation techniques, and test writing / essay that is used to determine the level of student learning outcomes, which is done every cycle. And techniques of data analysis in this study using the percentage formula and its value in the relative distribution subtitutied into categories, so the level of achievement of the outcome can be known. From the results of the study during two cycles results indicate percentage Card Sort implementation strategy is better than the use of the lecture method, as shown by the acquisition of KKM in a lecture only 24% but on the application of Card Sort acquisition strategy KKM to 96%. This implementation strategy Card Sort deemed successful.
