Abstract
The research was conducted from March until April 2013 at research farm Agriculture and Animal Science Faculty of State Islamic University Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. The objective of the research was to find the best variety and plant spacing on growth of soybean and interaction of variety and plant spacing. The experimental design was Randomized Completely Block Design (RCBD) factorial with 2 factors. The first factors was varieties consisted of Grobogan, Tanggamus and Tidar. The second factor was plant spacing consisted of 40x10 cm, 40x20 cm and 40x30 cm. The result show that Grobogan variety had plant height 40 DAP, number and weight of root nudels and plant dry weight 30 DAP and 40 DAP better than Tanggamus and Tidar. Plant height 30 DAP and leaf area index. 40x10 cm increased there was no interaction between variety and plant spacing of all parameters.
