Abstract

This research was conducted in November 2013 to Februari 2014 in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture science and Animal Husbandry of the State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau and Chemical Analysis of Soil Testing performed at the Laboratory of the Department of Public Works Unit of Riau Province. This study aims to determine some of the chemical properties of the different types of soil media before and after incubated with manure and compost. Soil media used in this study is peat, mineral soil and peat soil mixing with mineral soil. The method used in this study is deskriptif done by purposive sampling is obtained from several field treatment is taken then the composite soil analysis to obtain quantitative data. Chemical analysis of soil include soil pH, Corganic, N-total, P-bray, and K-dd. The results showed that the analysis of the chemical nature of some media incubated soil with manure and compost for a month can increase soil pH, C-organic, N-total, P-bray, and K-dd soil and ameliorant manure is the best material in the improvement of soil chemical properties of both the peat and mineral soil.
