Abstract
ABSTRACT Weni Inka Pratiwi, (2021): The Analysis of Students’ Errors in Answering Problem-Solving Questions Derived from Their Mathematical Disposition on Two Variable Linear Equations System Material This research aimed at knowing and describing students‘ errors in answering problem-solving questions derived from their mathematical disposition on Two Variable Linear Equations System material. It was a qualitative research with a case study design. The subjects of this research were 19 of the tenth-grade students at Islamic Integrated Vocational High School of Al-Izhar Pekanbaru, they were reduced to 9 students. Purposive sampling technique was used in this research. The instruments of collecting data were problem-solving test questions on Two Variable Linear Equations System material in the forms of 3 essay questions, mathematical disposition questionnaire, and interview guidelines. All data were analyzed in three steps—data reduction, data display, drawing conclusion and verification. The research findings showed that comprehension, transformation, process skill, and encoding errors were done by the subjects with high mathematical disposition in answering problem-solving questions on Two Variable Linear Equations System material; reading, comprehension, transformation, process skill, and encoding errors were done by the subjects with medium mathematical disposition in answering problem-solving questions on Two Variable Linear Equations System material; and reading, comprehension, transformation, process skill, and encoding errors were done by the subjects with low mathematical disposition in answering problem-solving questions on Two Variable Linear Equations System material.
