Abstract

This research was conducted on January until March 2013 in BBI’s Pekanbaru Riau Province. The objective of the research was to know plant spacing and the best application of fosfor dosage fertilizer to get growth and yield of paddy were and interaction between plant spacing and application of fosfor dosage fertilizer (SP 36). The plant spacing was Tegel 30 x 30 cm, legowo 2:1 (15 x 15 cm) and application of fosfor dosage fertilizer (SP 36) was 75 kg/ha, 100 kg/ha and 125 kg/ha. The experimental design was Randomized Complete Block Design with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor was plant spacing consist of 3 levels were tegel 30 cm x 30 cm, legowo 2:1 (20 x 20 cm), and legowo 2:1 (15 x 15 cm). The second factor was fertilizer dosage of 3 levels e.g 75 kg/ha, 100 kg/ha and 125 kg/ha. If analysis of data was significant then continued with Duncan’s New Multiple Range Test (DMRT) of 5% level. The variables was observated number of shoots, plant height, stalk length, number of grain/stalk, number of full grain, number of empty grain, weight of 1000 grain and weight of grain per plot. The result of this research showed that plant spacing of legowo 2:1 (15 x 15 cm) is highest production, it could increase weight of grain per plot. Then plant spacing tegel 30 x 30 cm could increase number of productive shoots and number of grain/stalk. Application of fosfor fertilizer (SP 36) 75 kg/ha could increase number of full grain/stalk.
