The purpose of this research was to know the effect of using Listen, Engage, Think, and Say (L.E.T.S) CONNECT strategy toward students’ reading comprehension on recount text. Based on the writer’s preliminary observation it was found that the students could not comprehend the meaning of the text in their text books especially in recount text. In taking the sample the researcher used random sampling, deciding II 2 as an experimental class and II 1 as control class. In collecting the data, the researcher used test. In analyzing data, the researcher used SPSS 16 version. After analyzing the data, the researcher found the result of independent sample t-test formula, T showed 3,638 compared at significant level 5% (2.02) and at significant level 1% (2.72). It can be read 2.02<3,638>2.72. It means, null hypothesis (H0) is rejected, and alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted.
