Abstract

ABSTRACT FITRI YANTI, (2020): Students’ Ability in Pronouncing English Vowel and Their Speaking Ability of Eleventh Grade at Senior High School Tri Bhakti Pekaknabau. The purpose of this research is to Analys Students’ Ability in Pronouncing English Vowel and Their Speaking Ability of Eleventh Grade at Senior High School Tri Bhakti Pekanbaru. This research was a descrivptive quantitative study. There were 30 students as samples chosen by using Random sampling technique. In collecting the data, the researcher distributed the Test to the respondents to determine the students’ ability in Pronouncing English Vowel, the researcher distributed English Vowel test, and to know the students’ Speaking Ability the researcher distributed the speaking test. The researcher used descriptive statistics to analyze the data. The result of this research showed that the score of students` Ability in Pronouncing English Vowel is 83. 13. It is categorized as a “Very Good” level, and their Speaking Ability is 69.47. It is categorized as an “Enough” level. Key word: Pronounciation English Vowel, Speaking Ability.
