Abstract

ABSTRACT Hardianti, (2020): The Effect of Using Animation Video on Students’ Speaking at SMK PGRI Pekanbaru This research was conducted based on students' problems in speaking. Therefore, this study aims to find out the students 'speaking skills before and after being taught using video animation, identify the significant effects of using video animation on students' speaking skills.. This research is pre-experimental research. The researcher choose one class of the population using convenience sampling techniques. There were 22 students research samples. In collecting data, the researchers used oral tests. In analyzing the data, researchers used descriptive statistics and the paired t-test formula which was calculated by using the SPSS 22 version which is then followed by testing it through the eta square formula. The results of data analysis showed that there was a significant effect of using video animation on students' speaking skills, where Sig (2-tailed) 0,000 had a value of less than 0.05. Thus, Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Furthermore, there is a significant influence on the use of video animation on students' speaking skills at SMK PGRI Pekanbaru, where the eta squared result is 0,98.
