Abstract

This research is classroom action research. Based on the result of observation at fifth year students of state elementary School 011 Pulau Jambu district of Kampar the Regency of Kampar there are some indicators or phenomena in learning process, especially for Islamic education subject, which showed the less of students activity in study like: a) some students like playing when the teacher explains he subject in the class, b) there are some students those do not pay attention to the teacher and they are busy with their own business like telling story with their friends, c) in the process of study the students are enduringly silent, they just receive the subject from the teacher without giving question or ideas, d) some students are always out and in when the teacher explains the subject in the class. To improve students’ activity in study Islamic education so the writer applied lightening the learning climate strategy at fifth year students of state elementary School 011 Pulau Jambu district of Kampar the Regency of Kampar. This research was conducted on two cycles, the data presented is about knowing the messenger of Allah, on first cycle, second cycle and third cycle, every cycle is done in two meetings. To make this research runs well without any obstacles, he writer has arranged some steps, they are: 1) the planning of action, 2) the application of action, 3) observation, and reflection. Based on the result of research, it is known that there is improvement of students’ activity, where before action the average of percentage is obtained 47,1%, on the first cycle the average of percentage is obtained, as for on third cycle the average percentage was obtained 82,2%, this indicated that through lightening the learning climate strategy at fifth year students of state elementary School 011 Pulau Jambu district of Kampar the Regency of Kampar can be applied. From that result, the hypothesis sounded” by the application of lightening the learning climate strategy, so the activity of thinking in Islamic education subject at fifth year students of state elementary School 011 Pulau Jambu district of Kampar the Regency of Kampar will improve “Accepted”.
