Abstract

Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau State University Library (UIN SUSKA Riau) has implemented textit institutional repository (IR) as a digital service to provide scientific work. Problems that exist in IR applications are in securing data to protect scientific works. The efforts made by the UIN SUSKA Riau library only provide the only way to secure data. This research makes an application that can encrypt and decrypt scientific work documents using the AES-128 algorithm on IR. After doing the research, the application of the AES-128 algorithm runs well starting from the encrypted plaintext and making encrypted scientific papers, then successfully decrypting and producing the document documents made.
