Abstract
This research was conducted based on the problems faced by the students in learning English especially in readingnarrative text.The writer found that the students still had difficulties in comprehending the reading text especially in narrative text. This research aimedto finding out whether there is or not significant difference between students’ reading comprehension of narrative text taught without using Text with Picture Strategy and taught by using it. In this case, the researcher provided Text with Picture Strategy to help students’ reading comprehension ofnarrative text. This research was an experimental research.The technique of collecting data used by writerwastest.Finally, based on the research findings, the writer concluded that there was a significant difference between students’ reading comprehension taught by using and without using Text with Picture Strategy. The researcher found thatsig (2 tailed) was 0.000 less than 0.05. It means that Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. In other words, there was a significant difference between students’ reading comprehension of narrative text taught without and by using Text with Picture Strategy at second classJunior High School 3 Kuok.
