Abstract

ABSTRACT Muji Rahayu, (2025): The Use of Instagram Videos to Improve Students' Grammar Accuracy in English: An Experimental Study at a Private Vocational High School in Pekanbaru. This study aims to determine the significances of using Instagram Video Reels to Improve Grammatical Accuracy of students at Pekanbaru Vocational High Schools. This study is a quantitative method with an experimental research design. The data collection technique is a quasi-experiment. The population of the study was eleventh grade students of Pekanbaru Vocational High Schools, in the 2024/2025 academic year with a total of 34 students. The sample of this study was 34 students. The purposive sampling technique was used in this study. The instrument used to collect data in this study was a paragraph text creation test consisting of a pre-test and post-test. Quantitative data analysis shows that the Effect of Using Instagram Video Reels is an effective strategy in improving students' grammatical accuracy. The data analysis technique used is the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test via SPSS 24. The results of the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test show that Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.050 which means there is a significant difference in students' grammatical accuracy. In conclusion, there is a significant influence on the grammatical accuracy of grade 11 students who are taught using and without using Instagram video reels at Pekanbaru Vocational High School.
