Abstract

ABSTRACT Vemitalia, (2022): Student’s Perception on Using Google Classroom as a Tool for English Learning at SMK Taruna Satria Pekanbaru. The aim of this research is to determine the student’s perception on using Google Classroom as a tool for English learning at SMK Taruna Satria Pekanbaru. The object of this research is the perception of students on using Google Classroom as a tool for English learning. The subject of this research is the twelfth grade of SMK Taruna Satria Pekanbaru. This research used a descriptive quantitative method. The data was collected through a questionnaire. There were 28 students in the twelfth grade as a sample at SMK Taruna Satria Pekanbaru who participated in this research by using simple random sampling. To analyze the data, the researcher used a Likert Scale Interval Rate Classification for scoring perceptions of students. Based on data analysis, it can be concluded that students' perceptions on using Google Classroom as a tool for English learning have a positive perception. This can be seen from the percentage of data based on several aspects. Perceptions related to aspects of usefulness with a percentage of 70.4%, perceptions related to aspects of ease of use with a percentage of 76.5%, and perceptions related to access with a percentage of 65.4%. From the findings that have been discussed, Google Classroom has many benefits for both teachers and students. It can be applied as a tool for English learning.
