Abstract
The study aims to determine the body measurements and the value of the correlation between measure of kacang goat at body-weight in Rangsang District of Meranti Island Regency. The study was conducted in February and March 2014 using the material of this study were 135 kacang goat ( 80 males and 55 females) aged 1-2 years. The study used a survey method, the data were analyzed by applying of calculating the mean value, standard deviation, coefficient varias, the analysis of correlation coefficient. The variable measured were body size and value of the correlation kacang goat in Rangsang District of Meranti Island Regency. The result showed that the average body weight, shoulder height, hip height, chest circumference and body length of the male goat bean row was 21,62 ± 1,24 kg; 51,18 ± 1,30 cm; 52,87 ± 1,33 cm; 56,93 ± 3,95 cm; 54,68 ± 1,95 cm, while the average weight, shoulder height, hip height chest circumference and body length of female goat bean row was 19,25 ± 1,00 kg; 52,45 ± 1,61 cm; 50,72 ± 0,98 cm; 57,50 ± 2,19 cm; dan 45,74 ± 1,04 cm. High correlation values hips with a body weight of male kacang goat are 0,19 and 0,33 females, high shoulders with a body weight of male kacang goat is females 0,78 and male 0,88, chest circumference with body weight of male kacang goat is 0,87 and 0,77 females, and the length of the body with body male kacang goat is 0,15 and 0,48 females. The result of this study indicate the size of the body of a kacang goat sized positively correlated to body weight. Key words: Kacang Goat, Correlation, Rangsang District, Meranti Island Regency
