Abstract
Muchamad Rico Pernanda (11781101672) Under the guidance of Irdha Mirdhayati dan Elviriadi ABSTRACT Coconut dregs can be used as a supporting material for biogas production, because it contains 38.1% carbohydrates, 5.6% crude protein, 16.3% crude fat, 31.6% crude fiber, 2.6% ash content and 5 moisture content. 5%. The content contained in buffalo feces is 0.6% nitrogen, 0.3% phosphorus (P2O5), 0.38% potassium (K2O), 85% water, and 22.34 C/N. The combination of coconut dregs and buffalo feces is expected to meet C/N in biogas production. This study aims to determine the effect of the C/N ratio and the length of fermentation time on the biogas production of buffalo feces and coconut dregs based on the initial pH value, final pH, initial temperature and final digester temperature, flame, and the color of the resulting flame. The research was conducted from February to June 2021 at the UARDS Laboratory (UIN Agriculture Research and Development Station) Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Sultan Syarif Kasim State Islamic University, Riau. This study uses an experimental method with a completely randomized design (CRD) factorial pattern that occurs from 2 factors, namely factor A and factor B with 2 replications, Factor A is the ratio of buffalo feces and coconut dregs (C/N ratio) A0 = Buffalo feces 100% + 0% coconut dregs, C/N = 22.34 A1 = 75% buffalo feces + 25% coconut dregs, C/N = 27 A2 = 50% buffalo feces + 50% coconut dregs, C/N = 30 Factors B is the length of time for fermentation B0 = Fermentation 0 days B1 = Fermentation 10 days B2 = Fermentation 20 days B3 = Fermentation 30 days With a ratio of 1:1 addition of water from raw materials. The interaction between the C/N ratio and the duration of fermentation had no significant effect (P˃0.05) on the final pH, the interaction between the length of fermentation at the final temperature and the fermentation time of 30 days had a very significant effect (P˂0.01) on the decrease in the final temperature. , at 10 days fermentation did not produce fire and at 20 & 30 days fermentation produced fire, the A0B2 treatment with C/N ratio of 22.34 and fermentation time of 30 days produced the best color of fire. There is an interaction between the C/N ratio of the digester and the fermentation time at the initial pH and the final pH of the digester. The fermentation time up to 30 days can increase the final digester temperature, the C/N ratio is 22.34 and the fermentation time of 30 days produces the best biogas quality based on the flame and fire color.
