Abstract

Triska Gustiwi (2021) :HUBUNGAN ADVERSITY QUOTIENT DENGAN INTENSI BERWIRAUSAHA PADA MAHASISWA FAKULTAS EKONOMI DAN ILMU SOSIAL UIN SUSKA RIAU Growing an entrepreneurial spirit can be started by growing the desire or intention to become an entrepreneur. The entrepreneurial world of course has difficulties and obstacles, one needs the ability to turn obstacles into opportunities. This study was conducted to determine whether there is a relationship between adversity quotient and entrepreneurial intentions in students of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, UIN Suska Riau. The subjects in this study were 183 students of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences, UIN Suska Riau. The sampling technique used was proportional stratified random sampling. Data collection tools in the form of an entrepreneurial intention scale based on Ajzen's theory (2005) and an adversity quotient scale based on Stoltz's (2000) theory. Analysis of the data used is product moment correlation. The results of the analysis in this study indicate that there is a relationship between adversity quotient and entrepreneurial intentions in students of the Faculty of Economics and Social Sciences UIN Suska Riau, with a correlation coefficient of r = 0.568 and sig = 0.000 or p < 0.01 (0.000 < 0.01), meaning that the hypothesis in this study is accepted. This explains that the higher the adversity quotient, the higher the entrepreneurial intention of students, and vice versa, the lower the adversity quotient, the lower the entrepreneurial intention of students.
