Abstract
ABSTRACT Qurnia Santi, (2020) : The Use Interactive Multimedia In Teaching Listening Skill At SMA Babussalam Pekanbaru This study was conducted because the students said that learning english lack interest. The teacher used dictation method. The purpose of this study was to known the differences between taught with using interactive multimedia and taught without using interactive multimedia in teaching listening skill at second grade of SMA Babussalam Pekanbaru. The target of this research was the students at second grade SMA Babussalam Pekanbaru. The cluster random sampling method was used to select 50 students. The method of this research was quasi-experimental design. There were two groups as the investigated group in this research. One group was for experimental group and the other group is controlled group. The data were collected through two steps, namely pre-test and post-test. To analyze the result of pre test and post test, this research used t-test formula computed by SPSS 23.00. The result of the research showed that the students’ progress in teaching listening skill during the activity can be seen from the group statistic that shows the mean of the experimental class was 83.72 and the of control class was 80.20.Therefore , the researcher can concludedthere was any significant differencesbetweenthe results ofpost testexperimental class that taught with interactive multimedia and thecontrol class tauhgt without interactive multimedia At SMA Babussalam Pekanbaru Keywords : The Use Interactive Multimedia and Students Listening Skill.
