Abstract

OPTIMAL CONTROL OF INVENTORY SYSTEM WITH INCREASES OF ITEMS IN DISCRETE TIME FOR SINGLEINDEXED DESCRIPTOR SYSTEM RISMA SRI WAHYUNI 11654201474 Date of Final Exam : June 17th ,2020 Period of Graduation Ceremony : Departement of Mathemathics Faculty of Science and Technology State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau HR. Soebrantas Street No. 155 Pekanbaru ABSTRACT There are many problems involving control theory. One of application of optimal control theory, is on inventory problems. For example, a company will produce an items, the results of the production or the items will be stored in a warehouse before being sold to consumers. Therefore it is necessary to control the items contained in a warehouse that called the inventory system. This study discuss the optimal control of the inventory system with an increase in items at discrete time for a singleindex descriptor system. The purpose of this study is to obtain the optimal level of production and stability analysis of the level of inventory by increasing items at discrete time for a single-index descriptor system. Based on dynamic functions of discrete inventory model with descriptors and objective functions that was given, Lagrange equations can be formed. Next will be obtained Riccati's equation and the optimal level of production equation. The optimal level of production equation is used to analyze the stability of dynamic equations. The model is said to be stable if the level of inventory has increased. Based on the simulation that have been given, obtained that the level of inventory has increased and the level of production has decreased. This is because there is no consumer demand, so the company must reduce production so that the storage in the warehouse does not exceed the maximum limit.
