Abstract

Base on the preliminary research found that, some of the students able to pronounce English words accurately, some of students are not able to speak fluently, some of students are not able to speak English correct grammar, some of students do not use appropriate vocabulary in English, and some of students are not able to comprehend in English accurately. To overcome these problems, the writer is interested to use round robin as a technique to increase students’ score in speaking. The purpose of this research is to find out the improving students’ speaking by using Round Robin Technique in narrative text. The design of this research classroom action research. Classroom action research uses qualitative and quantitative method. The research was carried out at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah Gobah Kampar Regency. It is located in Palung Raya Street KM.7 Desa Gobah. In was conducted February – Augustus 2015. The subject of the research was the students of second grade of Madrasah Tsanawiyh Muhammadiyah gobah. The objective of the research was improving students’ speaking skill by using round robin technique. The population of this study was one class that consists of 17 students, 10 males and 7 females. The technique of the collecting data are using observation, test and field note. This research does in two cycles and each cycle consists of three meetings. This research use a English teacher as a observer to asses all of the class activities during learning. Base on the result of the research show that there are improvements to students’ learning. Before action , from 17 students 2 Students pass with 11,76%and 15 fail with 88,23%. In the cycle 1 there are improvement to students’ learning, there are 0 students pass with 100% and 17 students fail with 0%. then, In the cycle 2 there are improvement to students’ learning, there are 9 students pass with 53% and 8 Students fail with 47%. So,We can conclude that there are improving students’ speaking skill by using Round Robin Technique at the second grade Madrasah Tsanawiayah Muhammadiyah Gobah Kampar Regency.
