Abstract
Buffalo (Bubalus bubalis) is one of the livestock commodities in Indonesia that is potential to produce meat. In Indonesia there are several local buffalo clumps, one of them is kuntu kuntu, buffalo kuntu is a buffalo from kuntu village located in Kampar Kiri Kabupen Kampa district. Productive buffalo production factors must have a good reproduction performance to obtain maximum production results later. So that the performance of reproduction is very important note in breeding buffalo. In this study the method used is a survey with intentional sampling. Parameters measured in this study there are 4 parameters that is (1) Age of first bunting (2) Age of first child (3) Old bunting (4) Birth distance. Data obtained from 50 respondents, as many as 44 people have experience of breeding 7 to 15 years so that in general already quite experienced. Performance of kuntau kuntu covering age of first bunting is 43,44 month, age first beranak 54,22 month, pregnant time 10,66 month and breeding distance of buffalo 14,94 month.
