Abstract
Based on the preliminary research, it was found that the eleventh grade senior high school YLPI Pekanbaru had difficulties in translation, that some of the students were not able to translate a sentence. The aim of the research is to find out the correlation between students’ adjective order mastery and their translation skill at Senior High School YLPI Pekanbaru. The design of this research is correlational research design. The population of the research is the Eleventh grade of Senior High School YLPI Pekanbaru. The number of sample is selected by using cluster random sampling technique. Moreover, the researcher gave two tests for collecting data, and then analyzed them by using pearson product moment on SPSS 23.0 version. After analyzing the data, the result of the score of Sig. (in SPSS table is 0.572) ≥ α (0.05) Ho is accepted, which means that Ha was rejected and Ho was accepted. In other words, there is no significant correlation between students’ adjective order mastery and their translation skill at senior high school YLPI Pekanbaru. Key words : Correlation, Adjective Order Mastery, and Translation Skill.
