Abstract
This study was conducted from June to November 2013 in the experimental field of the Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. The study aims to determine the vegetative growth of upland rice varieties that adaptive on peat media. The method was used descriptive method with 5 varieties and 4 replications. Varieties consist of Jati Luhur, Kalimutu, Towuti, Local Gunung Kidul and Local Pelalawan. The results showed that Towuti was good and adaptive variety on peat media.
