Abstract

This research was conducted based on the problems in English learning Management System (LMS) on English Education Department. The objectives of this research were to find out the perceptions of using Edmodo in English education Department students. The design of this research was descriptive quantitative design. The population of this research was the student class of 2016 at English Education Department. The total numbers of sample were 56 students. In data collection, researchers distributed online questionnaires to students through the WhatsApp application. The result of the research shown that the perceptions and effects of using the Edmodo application English Education Department students are included in the positive perception. The percentage score of the questionnaire was 78.08%. In short, the use of the Edmodo application as Learning Management System (LMS) for English Education Department Students at State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau had a positive perception Keyword: Edmodo, Learning Management System
