Abstract

M. FARDIANSYAH (2021) : KONSUMSI RANSUM, BOBOT BADAN AKHIR, PERSENTASE KARKAS DAN PERSENTASE LEMAK ABDOMINAL AYAM PEDAGING YANG DITAMBAH TEPUNG BAWANG PUTIH (Allium sativum L.) DALAM RANSUM KOMERSIAL ABSTRACT Garlic flour (Allium sativum L.) was a natural feed additive in poultry feed. The study aims to determine the effect of garlic flour on feed consumption, final body weight, percentage of carcass weight and percentage of abdominal fat weight. The research was conducted in September - October 2020 at the UIN Agricultural Research and Development Institute (UARDS), Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science, State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. The materials used were 80 DOC broilers (CP 707). The research method was experiment using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications. The treatments were P0 (100% commercial ration), P1 (98% commercial ration and 2% TBP), P2 (96% commercial ration and 4% TBP), and P3 (94% commercial ration and 6% TBP). The parameters were feed consumption, final body weight, percentage of carcass weight and percentage of abdominal fat weight. The result showed that addition of the garlic flour in broiler ration significantly (P<0,05) reduced the feed consumption, the final body weight, and the percentage of abdominal fat weight, and not significantly (P>0.05) influenced the percentage of carcass weight. The conclusion was the addition of garlic flour as feed additive in broiler ration could reduced the percentage of abdominal fat weight however had not been able to increase the feed consumption, the final body weight and the percentage of carcass weight.
