Abstract

ABSTRACT Isma Yanti, (2020): The Effect of Economic Literacy toward Student Consumptive Behavior at Economics Education Department of State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau This research aimed at knowing the significant effect of economic literacy toward student consumptive behavior at Economics Education Department of State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. It was a quantitative research. Economics Education Department students that were 703 active students were the population of this research. 224 students were the samples of this research that were selected by using Stratified Random sampling technique. The subjects of this research were all students at Economics Education Department of State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, and the object was the effect of economic literacy toward student consumptive behavior at Economics Education Department. Questionnaire and documentation were the techniques of collecting the data. The technique of analyzing the data was quantitative descriptive. Based on the research findings, it showed that there was a significant effect of economic literacy toward student consumptive behavior at Economics Education Department of State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. It could be seen from t-test, and it showed that tobserved was higher than ttable at 5% and 1% significant levels, 1.6517>12.438<1.9707 It meant that Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected.
