Abstract

This research was classroom action research that was done at the fifth grade of to know the increasing of the students’ vocabulary mastery by using English Words Playing Cards (EWPC) at grade VB of SDN 012 Maredan Barat Siak. It was conducted due the problem of students in learning vocabulary. Therefore, The research decided to try to improve their vocabulary mastery by using English Words Playing Cards (EWPC) strategy. The instruments of this research were test and observation, fieldnote. Based on all of data found that their vocabulary mastery and its process learning vocabulary was increased. From the previous explanation, the researcher concluded that using English Words Playing Cards could improve Student’s vocabulabulary mastery. There were some factors that influenced their improvement. The first, the students are interested in using English. The second, the student’s are motivated in learning English Words Playing Cards (EWPC).The third, the use of English Words Playing Cards were benifical for learning process and last the result showed that the students’ vocabulary mastery at grade VB of SDN 012 Maredan Barat Siak can be increased by using English words playing cards. The researcher concludes that the use of English words playing cards could increase the students’ vocabulary mastery at grade VB of SDN 012 Maredan Barat Siak. It was also motivated the students to learn English seriuosly.
