Abstract

ABSTRACT Cindy Lutvi Ramadhona (2025): The effect of using Shadowing Technique on Speaking Ability at Senior High School Students. The experimental research was conducted at the Tenth grade of SMAN 1 Tapung Hulu. This research aims to find out the effect of Shadowing Technique on speaking ability for Senior High School Students in academic year 2024/2025.This research was quasi experiment research. The sample of this research was taken by purposive sampling. It involved 50 students of two class X. X IPAS 2 as the experimental class using Shadowing Technique and X IPAS 1 as control class using Book. The data were obtained by using pretest and posttest. Pretest was given to both classes before the treatment and posttest of both classes were analysis of the research showed that the average students using t-test analysis. Based on data analysis the research showed that the average students posttes in experimental class were 72,42 and control class has average students posttest 62,56. Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. It can be concluded there was significant effect of using Shadowing Technique on Speaking Ability at Senior High School Students.
