Abstract

Information Systems study program students are individuals who have competence in the field of information technology. ICT self-efficacy confidence in using information technology. ICT self-efficacy and digital citizenship are essential factors that need to be paid attention to in order to improve student competence. This study aims to identify the positive relationship between ICT self-efficacy and digital citizenship among students of Information Systems study program State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. The study included a total of 240 students of Information Systems study program state Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau. Data were collected using ICT self- efficacy scales from Howard (2014) with a reliability of 0,862 and the digital citizenship scale from Al-Zahrani (2015) with a reliability of 0,967. The data analysis technique employed in this study was pearson product-moment correlation analysis. The results indicated relationship between ICT self-efficacy and digital citizenship among students of Information Systems study program State Islamic University of Sultan Syarif Kasim Riau, with a significance value (p) of 0.00 (p<0,05) and a correlation coefficient (r) of 0,249. This means that the level of ICT self-efficacy is positively related to the level of digital citizenship among students. The implication of this research is that to improve competence of students, students must have high digital citizenship by enhancing their ICT self- efficacy.
