Abstract

This research was instigated with the limitations of tools and materials in the process of practical work activities and the use of limited chemistry learning media. This research aimed at finding out the validity, practicality, and student response tests whose validity was tested by media experts, material experts, language experts, teachers, and students. The research method use was Research and Development (R&D) with Design and Development Research (DDR) model. The preliminary field test was conducted to the eleventh-grade students of class 3 at Senior High School of Muhammadiyah 1 Pekanbaru. The product in the form of Flashcard media with Augmented Reality in Thermochemistry practical work was developed in this research. The validation score by media experts, material experts, and language experts was 82,9% with very valid criterion. Teacher practicality test result was 90% with very practical criterion, and student response test result was 81,7% with very good category. Based on the results obtained from the validity test, practicality test and response test, it can be concluded that augmented reality-assisted flashcard media on exothermic and endothermic reaction sub-material as a learning resource is very feasible and practical to use in the learning process of exothermic and endothermic reactions.
