Abstract

ABSTRACT Name : Ariska Mustafidah Prodi : Management of Dakwah Title : Da’wah Message Through Visual Communication Design On Instagram Account @dakwahvisual.id This thesis examines the content of the da'wah message contained in the content on the @dakwahvisual.id account. This study will answer the question of what are the contents of the da'wah message on the @dakwahvisual.id Instagram account? How is the visual communication design on the @dakwahvisual.id Instagram account? To answer these questions, the researcher used a qualitative method. Data were collected through a netnographic approach through the process of observation and documentation of the content on the @dakwahvisual.id Instagram account. The data analysis technique used Ferdinand de Saussure's semiotic approach to understand the da'wah messages contained in the visual design content uploaded to the account. The results of this study show that the signifier and signified in the image are interrelated and form a complete meaning where the image strengthens the message conveyed by the writing and the writing explains the meaning contained in the image. The da'wah message in the da'wah content posts on the @dakwahvisual.id account displays da'wah messages of aqidah, sharia, and morals.
