Abstract

The research was motivated by low motivation in learning, particularly on the subjects of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). Formulation of the problem in this study were Clustering methods Does implementation can increase the motivation of Islamic Religious Education learning materials to know the books of God in the SDN 020 V grade students Senapelan Pekanbaru City District. As the subjects in this study is a class V student of the school year 2011- 2012 the number of students as many as 18 people, while the object of research in this study is "the application of clustering methods on the subjects of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) of material to know the books of God". The research was carried out on SDN 020 Senapelan Pekanbaru District in particular on the class V of the school year 2011-2012. The subjects studied are the lessons of Islamic Religious Education (PAI). The research was conducted in three cycles and each cycle is done in one session. These stages are traversed in a class action research, namely: (1) planning / preparatory action, (2) implementation of the action, (3) observation, (4) reflection. Data were collected through observation and analyzed by the percentage formula. The results showed that through clustering methods can improve students' motivation. Through three cycles can be explained students' motivation can be increased. Before the students' motivation measures the percentage of 47.2% scored poorly on the category. In cycle I get a percentage figure 70.4% in the category quite well. Cycle II acquire 75.0% percentage points in either category. Cycle III 93.5% percentage point gain in the category very well.
