Abstract

ABSTRACT THE EFFECTIVENESS OF MOTOR VEHICLE TAX PAYMENT SERVICES THROUGH DRIVE THRU SERVICES AT SAMSAT SIMPANG TIGA PEKANBARU By: WAHYU The objective of this research is to determine the effectiveness of motor vehicle tax payment services through drive thru services at Samsat Simpang Tiga Pekanbaru and to compare the effectiveness of tax payments before and after the implementation of drive thru services at Samsat Simpang Tiga Pekanbaru. The study was conducted at Samsat Simpang Tiga Pekanbaru. Data analysis was performed using a descriptive method, which involved describing the research findings in a detailed manner based on measurement standards and the informants' field experiences. The research findings indicate that the effectiveness of motor vehicle tax payment services through the drive thru system at Samsat Simpang Tiga Pekanbaru has significantly improved the quality of public services. This is evidenced by the reduction in service time to just 5–10 minutes, compared to the longer duration of conventional services. The system excels in integrating processes such as document verification, data checking, and payment in a single streamlined lane. Additionally, this service has demonstrated adaptability to technological advancements by offering faster and more responsive digital payment options. The implementation of drive thru services at Samsat Simpang Tiga Pekanbaru has proven to enhance the efficiency of motor vehicle tax payments. Before the implementation, the payment process was slow, characterized by long queues and manual procedures. After adopting the drive thru system, the process became more efficient, with shorter service times, better integration, and increased responsiveness to the needs of the public.
