Abstract

ABSTRACT Amrul Yunus, (2024): The Effectiveness of Implementing Mimicry Memorization Method with Pocket Board Learning Media in Increasing Student Vocabulary Mastery at the Second Group of Islamic Boarding School of Al-Kautsar Pekanbaru It was quantitative research aiming at finding out whether the implementation of Mimicry Memorization method with Pocket Board learning media was effective in increasing student vocabulary mastery at the second group of Islamic Boarding School of Al-Kautsar Pekanbaru. The formulation of the problem in this research was the effectiveness of implementing Mimicry Memorization method with Pocket Board learning media in increasing student vocabulary mastery at the second group of Islamic Boarding School of Al-Kautsar Pekanbaru. All the second-grade students at Islamic Boarding School of Al-Kautsar Pekanbaru were the population of this research. Purposive sampling technique was used in this research, and the samples were 23 students. Observation, documentation, and test were used to collect data. Analysing data was done by using t-test. It was obtained that the implementation of Mimicry Memorization method with Pocket Board learning media was effective in increasing student vocabulary mastery at the second group of Islamic Boarding School of Al-Kautsar Pekanbaru. It was shown with the score of to (2,89) higher than tt (2.01). Therefore, Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. It could be concluded that the implementation of Mimicry Memorization method with Pocket Board learning media was effective in increasing student vocabulary mastery at the second group of Islamic Boarding School of Al-Kautsar Pekanbaru.
