Abstract
Abstract— This bibliometric study examines the use of virtual
reality (VR) in education from 2018 to 2023. The aim is to identify the main topics, authors, journals, most cited articles and relevant countries. This research uses the literature review
method by analyzing 127 articles using Vos viewer and Biblioshiny. The results show that Spain and China are the leading contributors. Three main clusters of countries associated with VR in education are identified. The conclusion highlights the potential for further research, particularly in primary and secondary education and in developing countries. Despite the limitations of Scopus database data, the use of tools such as Vos viewer facilitates broader research avenues from sources such as Web of Science, Lens, PubMed, and Dimensions. This research lays the groundwork for further exploration of VR in education.
